Springfield Public Schools has moved to the Schoology Platform
Schoology is the district's learning management platform for students in all grades. Think of it as an online classroom - a virtual space where teachers and students can communicate with each other and engage with content. Teachers can post content like reading passages, images, videos, or links to other educational sites. They can create, distribute, grade, and give feedback on assignments. And they can communicate with students and parents directly in the platform.
Why are we using Schoology?
Our learners need an online learning platform that is easy to use and navigate so they can find and complete their classwork and assignments. Teachers need an online learning platform that is easy to use, allows for the integration of a variety of digital tools, and offers teachers flexibility in creating courses that are personalized and engaging for young children. And since Schoology is PowerSchool's upgraded version of Unified Classroom, it's now Springfield's learning management platform for all grades with the start of the 2021-2022 school year.
